Last updated: September 2026

In short: Kazeway has no accounts and no analytics. Your screen-time data is read on your device and never leaves it. The only information that reaches anyone outside your device is what Apple and our payment provider need to run a subscription.

Who we are

Kazeway is an iOS application operated by Unplug Sphere LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to information when you use the app. You can reach us at support@unplugsphere.com.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier. There is no account to create and no sign-in. We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services — there is no Firebase, no Mixpanel, and no telemetry of any kind in the app.

Your screen-time data

Kazeway shows you how you use your device. That information — app usage, pickups, and notification counts — is provided by Apple's Screen Time framework and is processed entirely on your device.

Apple's framework is designed so that this data cannot be transmitted off the device by the app that displays it. Kazeway has no ability to read it outside of that protected context, and no ability to send it anywhere. We never see it.

Data stored on your device

Your presets, goals, schedules, and settings are stored locally on your device. This includes:

  • The blocking configurations you create, and their names and schedules
  • Which apps and website categories you have chosen to block or allow
  • Your selected goals and preferences
  • Break usage and enforcement state for rules that are currently running

This information stays on your device unless you turn on iCloud backup.

iCloud backup (optional, off by default)

Kazeway offers an optional iCloud backup so your configuration survives reinstalling the app or moving to a new device. It is disabled by default and only takes effect if you enable it in Settings.

When enabled, your presets, goals, and settings are stored in your own private iCloud container, under your Apple Account. This is Apple's infrastructure, not ours — we have no access to it and cannot read what is stored there. Your screen-time data is not included.

Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions and payments

Kazeway offers an optional paid subscription. Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see or handle your payment details.

To determine whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives:

  • An anonymous identifier generated for your installation, which is not linked to your identity
  • Your App Store purchase receipt and subscription status
  • Basic technical information such as your device model, operating system version, and country

This is used solely to verify and restore your subscription. It is not used for advertising, and it is not combined with your screen-time data — which RevenueCat never receives.

See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy.

Notifications

Kazeway can send you notifications about your rules and scheduled summaries. These are generated on your device and scheduled locally. There is no push server, and no notification content is transmitted anywhere.

Children

Kazeway is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since the app collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to delete on request — but you can contact us with any concern.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to provide or erase.

To remove everything Kazeway has stored, delete the app from your device. If you enabled iCloud backup, you can remove that data from your Apple Account through your device's iCloud settings.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app.
